Preventing Lower Back Pain When Golfing

Preventing Lower Back Pain When Golfing

When we're on the last nine holes our lower back can stiffen up because of the extreme rotation that occurs in the lower back.  The lowest vertebra in the spine, from a mechanical perspective, really doesn't rotate a whole lot.

However, when the spine moves well as a unit and the normal lumbar curve is maintained, this can help prevent your lower back from stiffening up - whether it's the back nine and you're getting tired, or it's the beginning of your round and you haven't had a chance to warm up yet.

Here, we teach a simple trick designed to teach you how to maintain the normal curve in your lower back no matter which hole you're on, and you might even knock a few strokes off your game!
